Answer to question # 1:

Three years ago (back in version 5.2) we removed the ability to use certain parameters due to abuse.  The parameters in question can still be used in the commercial versions of the software (along with more efficient ways to implement the same functionality).  Read the announcement here:  https://blog.centrify.com/introducing-centrify-server-suite-2014-1/

 

Answer to question # 2:

I'm not sure.  (Personally) I am not familiar with the product you mentioned.  My advice is that you do a test system and perform your due diligence (at a minimum a sanity check).

A good check is this:  If it (Quest InTrust...) has to do with Name Service Switch, Pluggable Authentication Modules or Kerberos, there is a high-possibility of conflicts.
