i tried searching but maybe i am not asking correctly.
for the first time i installed Centryfy on a ubuntu 14.04 machine. i went with express, andwondering if this is my problem now. i had to return machine, so i want to know before i redo it again.
it took some work but i got it going. it asked me a series of questions and then fails, but i get it joined to the domain using what i found on a page to assist in the install:
sudo adjoin -u username -w domain.name
where in this case my username was my elevated account. (but this has never mattered on Centos)
everything worked great. i was able to log in with the account. the command 'adinfo' returns the right infromation and is connected to the domain
so i returned to use. asked him to log on with AD credientials, Name works, but password report something like "this is not going to work it bad"
same with my general account.
when i tried to make a local account for the guy, i used the same format as AD (lastname first initial) adn it statte account exist.....so looks like, part of it is working. but the passwords, EVEN THOUGH CORRECT, are not??
any ideas??
does express only allow on AD account?
is it just the a ubuntu/centrify bug?
