Why does ADClient always go to disconnected mode

I have several Centos 7 servers for which I want ad authentication.  When I install the centrify package, and join the domain during installation, I am, for a brief period, able to log in successfully.  But then, only a short while later, new users (those having never logged in) can not authenticate.  When this occurs, the error looks like this in /var/log/messages....

Aug 12 10:57:45 LN-MCL-VM-000-02 adclient[2242]: INFO <fd:20 PAMVerifyPassword > daemon.ipcclient System is in disconnected mode, user option PREFER_AD_LOGIN is ignored and try cache auth first.

Thanks in advance for your assistance.
