Hi lingstandy,

Here's what I got:

1.)OS version

Oracle Solaris 10 1/13 s10s_u11wos_24a SPARC

2.)adcheck -s <domain controller>

Everything showed PASS, except for Samba showing "NOTE" but we're not using Samba and I take it that we can ignore this.

3.)adinfo -T <domain>

In the output, many DCs showed "good".

Other DCs showed one of the following:

1. "No TCP LDAP response, giving up on <DC name>"

2. "Can't resolve IP address for <DC name>"

4.)adinfo -t

This was hanging forever without displaying anything and I had to press ctrl-C to get back the shell prompt.

Thanks!

Centrify Express breaks Oracle ODA

We have an Oracle ODA that has been deployed.  All cluster, etc software starts and works as expected.

I then installed Centrify Express.  The install appears to complete without issue and AD logins work as expected.

However, once Express is installed, the Oracle software (ASM, etc) does not start correctly.  There are some oracle processes running, but the cluster asm and other processes never start.

Upon removal of Centify Express, the Oracle software once again starts up correctly.

Has anyone run into this?  If so, how did you resolve?

Where is the adbindproxy.pl script download for Ubuntu located?

I'm looking at the download page and can see that we can still download Integration with Samba for Debian 64-bit packages for most systes, except for Ubuntu.

How can I get the latest version of the script so I can integrate centrifydc with Samba 4?

Many thank,
Louis

Well, after lots of searching, zero solutions were found.  At this time it appears that Centrify Express is NOT compatible with Oracle ODAs and has been removed.

,

We are sorry we could not offer you a solution at this time.

Note that platform compatibility is driven by commercial customers, and we have zero requests to support his platform.

In the future, refer to the System catalog page or the All supported platforms PDF

Hello Louis,

Welcome to Centrify!

I believe that you could install the adbindproxy.pl script for Debian on Ubuntu Linux.

To install it on Debian / Ubuntu, please ensure that you have libcupsys2-gnutls10 (1.1.23-1 or later) installed.

If you have the required libraries, run the following command to install:

# dpkg –i centrifydc-adbindproxy-release-deb7-x86_64.deb

For example, the package from latest version 5.5.0 & command below could be used:

# dpkg –i centrifydc-adbindproxy-5.5.0-deb7-x86_64.deb

Best Regards,

Alan Ho

Based on what was said in the previously fielded question, I have a couple of ideas that I want to try.  The downside is I have to wait a bit before our test system is available for to me experminent with.

Stay tuned, will update in the near future (1 to 2 weeks) on my testing and the end result.

API permission for Multi Factor Authentication (MFA)

$

To Start the Authentication process first /StartAuthentication is called.

1.PNG

2.PNG

Once this /StartAuthentication is called, Response is received with SessionID and MechanismID. For Multi Factor Authentication(MFA), two or more mechanismID will we availble in the response.

For example, I have one login verfication using password and email verification in which OTP is sent to my email which must be entered for my Login to be success. So, when /StartAuthentication is called. Two MechanismID will be generated in response

Next, /AdvanceAuthentication is called. In which session ID and both Mechanism ID are included using MultipleOperations. Along with the password of the user

3.PNG2.PNG

Once /AdvanceAuthentication is called, "StartOOB" sends an email with OTP.

Next, /AdvanceAuthentication is called AGAIN. In which MechanismID of the email verification is included along with OTP.

4.PNG2.PNG

Authentication is complete, "Login Success" will be shown in the response.

- Welcome back.

Ideally you could have started a new thread since the topic is unrelated.

What happens if you uninstall the Centrify App and reinstall it again?
I only suggest it since you went through a process of a major OS upgrade.  (10->11)

You need a signing profile to deploy to devices. I don't think it would be legit any other way about it. I would think that what you asking falls outside some ToS somewhere. If you want to deploy to a device, you must register with Apple and pay the developer cost to get a provisioning profile for actual devices.

If there is another way (legit), I would sure like to know too...

No valid iPhone code signing keys found in keychain

That's because you don't have any keys... Just as it says which you already know. You must pay/register with Apple to get this.

The test platform became available for me to use... In the previous attempt to get Centrify Express working on Oracle's Database Appliance (ODA), I knew there was an AD group that was also a local group. In an attempt to address this conflict, the "adclient.local.group.merge" option as set to true. While this did seem to resolve the issue, it was found that the ODA software would not complete a startup. It appears that while merge was set, the software was still using the AD GID value for the dba group instead of the local GID value - thus causing permission issues and "breaking" the ODA software. In my current testing, I added the "dba" group to Centrify group.ignore file - so that the local group and its GID value would always be used - even if the group existed in AD. This appears to have resolved the ODA software breakage - all oracle processes now start as expected. If there are no further issues found from the current round of testing, it appears that the ODAs and Centrify Express will peacefully coexist.

Sorry that my reply is all squished together - it was formatted nicely on my screen.
