Yes, I did follow the instructions in KB-6842. I also read the centrify-adbindproxy-guide.pdf and Centrify-Adbindproxy-Release-Notes.html files included in the adbindproxy tar archive. This is a good example of "you get what you pay for". Luckily I don't have too many servers running Centrify Express. I'll switch to SSSD on servers that need AD auth for SSH and Samba/winbind/kerberos on servers that need AD auth for SMB shared folders.
